My great-grandfather walked door-to-door in the Italian neighborhoods of Brooklyn at the turn of the century, selling olive oil and provolone that he carried over his shoulders. With the tenacity of my grandfather and father this business grew into Napoli Foods, Inc. a major purveyor of Italian staples to hundreds of Italian restaurants lining the Long Island peninsula.
